Apart from your regular activities of providing extra circular activities, facilitating parental involvement and fund raising, we have a particular current focus of fund raising to building outdoor learning facilities. We do this by liaising the with the school, it's teachers and students, as well as the with the ACT Dept.of Education
Our main Goal at present is the planning, funding and building of Outdoor Learning facilities for the school.What is an Outdoor Learning Facility?
Good question. Outdoor learning facilities can be many things.- Playgrounds and equipmment
- Kitchen Gardens - shows student how to grow food and what can be done in your garden.
- Outdoor seating - provides a great place for eating lunch and for parents waiting at pickup time
- Outdoor classrooms - in good weather, students can enjoy learning outside. This has been shown to stimulate learning<./li>
- Grounds Beautification - can attract bird life and helps to break the starkness of school fencing.
